Thank you to all of you that have already signed up to volunteer at the 2010 Frys.com Open! We greatly appreciate everyone’s willingness to help at this year’s tournament. No PGA TOUR tournament would be a success without the hard work and dedication of its volunteers!

Your Committee Chairmen are hard at work putting together your schedules and helping us ensure you have a great, fun experience at this year’s tournament so be on the lookout for a note from them. They will be reaching out to you shortly, if they have not already.

Here in the tournament office we are busy putting together the 2010 Volunteer Handbook, which will be available electronically for you soon. The Handbook will serve as your guide to this year’s tournament. Below are a few items we did not want to wait to tell you about.

V-Lounge:

You will hear the term V-Lounge a lot. The V-Lounge will be your home away from home during the week. You will be able to get coffee and pastries in the morning and lunch in the afternoon at the V-Lounge. It will also be equipped with televisions and couches so you can catch up on all the action. It is located just off the 15th tee across from the Maintenance Building. All volunteers will park in the lot at Watsonville Road and Hummingbird Lane; also known as P6 (You will receive a parking pass in your volunteer package). There will be a volunteer shuttle that will take you from the parking lot to the V-Lounge each day.

Volunteer Uniform Distribution Dates:

Sunday, October 3rd
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
V-Lounge (there will be signage to direct you)

Saturday, October 9th
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
V-Lounge

Committee Trainings will take place during these time frames as well. Your Chairperson will notify you of your committee training dates and times.
